Chelsea Isom, MD, MPH
Chair

Dr. Chelsea Isom, MD, MPH, is a board certified in Preventive Medicine and currently is an associate physician at the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health at the University of California San Diego. Her current role is as a Principal Investigator with the Transportation Research and Education for Driving Safety group.

Dr. Isom obtained her medical degree from the University of Nevada in 2013 and then went on to be a general surgery resident at Vanderbilt Medical Center (2013-2021). She obtained her master’s in public health from Vanderbilt University (2016-2018), with an emphasis in Epidemiology. After this she transitioned to a preventive medicine residency at the University of California San Diego (2021-2023). Her research currently focusses on transportation safety and human factors. Working with the railroad to decrease fatigue in their worker and to decrease the number of injuries and death around the railroad. She is also working to design a front-line screening tool for law enforcement to increase identification of human trafficking victims. Dr. Isom has been a part of the ACPM since 2021 and it the current Vice-Chair for the ACPM’s 2026 Annual Conference.

Marissa Khajavi, MD, MPH, FACPM
Vice Chair

Dr. Marissa Khajavi MD, MPH, FACPM is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Program Director of the Preventive Medicine Residency Program at the University of Maryland Medical Center. She provides equitable reproductive health care as a staff physician in the Department of OB/GYN at Chase Brexton Healthcare, a federally qualified health center.

As a physician-scientist trained in clinical preventive medicine, OB/GYN, and clinical lifestyle medicine, Dr. Khajavi’s research interests focus on improving maternal and reproductive health care access and reducing maternal morbidity and mortality. Her work examines structural, clinical, and social determinants of health that contribute to inequities in maternal outcomes, particularly among marginalized populations, with the goal of developing scalable, evidence-based strategies to strengthen care delivery and improve population-level outcomes.

Dr. Khajavi is also committed to medical education and trainee wellness. She teaches preventive and lifestyle-based approaches to health and prioritizes wellness to promote resilience and sustainable clinical practice.

Aristotle Sun, MD, MPH, FACPM
Chair

Aristotle Sun, MD, MPH, FACPM is a Medical Director of Auditing and Co-Chair of Prevention, Wellness, and Vaccines at Centene, Inc., a health insurance company that focuses on Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace. He has previously held roles in clinical preventive medicine and population health as a medical director of an employer-sponsored primary care clinic within University of Washington Medicine Valley Medical Center and an integrated behavioral health startup in Tucson, AZ. His current work includes health plan-driven vaccination and disease prevention efforts as well as inclusion and psychological safety in the workplace.

He completed his bachelor's degrees at UC Berkeley in Neurobiology, Public Health, and Business Administration, and his MD and MPH in Health Management and Policy at University of Michigan. He worked at Google prior to medical school and did a summer internship in healthcare management consulting at Deloitte Consulting and an Internal Medicine internship in NYC prior to returning back to University of Michigan to complete a residency in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine. He has experience working at FQHCs in Michigan and Washington, advising pandemic response at a health system level, and implementing clinical care guidelines, lifestyle medicine, and employee wellness programs. He is interested in population health, AI and data science, and dabbles in Python. He identifies as a Pacific Northwest transplant, avid hiker, food adventurist, coffee enthusiast, and cat lover.

Jordan Gildehaus, MD
Vice Chair

CPT Jordan Gildehaus, MD is a Public Health and General Preventive Medicine Resident Physician at Madigan Army Medical Center, WA, and a Master of Public Health candidate at the University of Washington. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Boise State University and attended medical school at Loma Linda University. Her preventive medicine interests include infectious disease, reproductive health, public health emergency management, and implementation science. Jordan also enjoys medical teaching and mentorship. In her spare time, she loves to travel, workout, listen to audiobooks, and spend time outdoors.

Case Keltner, MD, MPH, MS
Chair

CPT Case Keltner currently serves as Chief of Primary Care at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center at Fort George G Meade in Maryland. He has previously served as Chief of Public Health at Fort Meade. He started the PRISM (Prevention, Readiness, Information, Support, and Management) Clinic for sexually transmitted infection care and education for service members at Fort Meade. CPT Keltner received his MD from Oregon Health and Science University, MPH from George Washington, and MS from University of Washington. He completed his Public Health and General Preventive Medicine Residency at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.

Ryan Moran, MD, MPH, MBA, FACPM
Vice Chair

Dr. Moran is a clinical professor and the Associate Program Director for the UCSD/SDSU General Preventive Medicine Residency. He is an active clinician working in primary care, working in healthcare quality aligned with patient care through the UCSD Population Health Services Organization. He serves as a member of the San Diego County's Partners in TB Elimination committee.

Devin Kelly, DO, MPH&TM
Chair

Lt Col Devin Kelly is a Preventive Medicine Consultant at the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. He is responsible for outbreak response, developing epidemiological studies, and supporting the Air Force's surveillance of reportable medical events. Commissioned in 2009, Lt Col Kelly attended the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and Preventive Medicine. His operational tours include partnering with the National Public Health Reference Lab in Guyana and supporting United States Forces Japan's COVID-19 response. Lt Col Kelly was most recently a Chief Resident in the General Preventive Medicine Residency at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, where he mentored co-residents, managed scheduling, and taught preventive medicine and public health.

Alankrita Olson, MD, MPH
Vice Chair

Dr. Alankrita Olson completed Preventive Medicine training at the University of Maryland, and earned her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. She chose preventive medicine to pursue her passion for addressing health inequities and improving population health through both clinical practice and health policy. Dr. Olson currently serves on the board of Physicians for a National Health Program, a physician-led organization working to reform the U.S. healthcare system into a single-payer model.

Malika Garg, MD, MS, FACPM
Chair

Malika Garg, MD MS, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is a Board-certified Preventive Medicine Physician practicing in the Selikoff Centers for Occupational Medicine, specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses. She is a clinician at the World Trade Center Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence at Mount Sinai. She has established the Smoking Cessation clinic for 9/11 responders. In addition, Dr. Garg is a faculty member in the Mount Sinai Graduate Program in Public Health, serving as a course director of multiple courses. She is also a faculty advisor for graduate students and serves as the International graduate student advisor with the Masters in Public Health Graduate Program. Dr. Garg received her Master’s in Clinical Research from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai with a focus on Cost-effective analysis. Combining her medical training, graduate courses and clinical experience, Dr. Garg focuses on Disparities in Healthcare and Cost-effective methods to improve patient outcomes.

Will Douthitt, MD, MPH
Vice Chair

Will Douthitt, MD, MPH is a Preventive Medicine Officer at the Navy Environmental and Preventive Medicine Unit 2 (NEPMU-2) in Norfolk, VA. In 2012, he earned a BA in international relations, East Asian studies, and environmental policy from the College of William and Mary. Originally intending to pursue international development, he garnered experience in the non-profit sector and at USAID before serving with the Peace Corps in Uganda from 2013-2015. His work in Uganda with both a rural NGO and Save the Children’s maternal and child health program inspired him to change careers towards medicine. He graduated from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) School of Medicine in 2021, choosing to specialize in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health. He earned his MPH and completed Preventive Medicine residency at USUHS in 2024. Since 2024 he has worked with NEPMU-2 on disease outbreak response and preparedness, preventive health guidance for military personnel, disease surveillance, and public health-related education and training. He was deployed to the Horn of Africa in support of these efforts from 2025-2026. His career interests include infectious disease surveillance and control, global health, tropical medicine, and mental health.

Pauline Thomas, MD, FACPM
Chair

Polly Thomas is the Program Director for the Rutgers NJMS Residency in Public Health and Preventive Medicine, and Associate Program Director for the NJMS Combined Residency in Internal Medicine and Public Health-General Preventive Medicine. After joining EIS in 1981, she worked for 20 years at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and joined New Jersey Medical School in 2004, where she developed the PM residency. At ACPM she formed and currently chairs a Special Interest Group on Climate and Health education. Polly is also a pediatrician and worked part-time in a multispecialty group for almost 40 years, retiring from clinical practice in 2023. She has 3 adult children, and 3 grandchildren with two more on the way.

Michele Soltis, MD, MPH, FACPM

Dr. Michele A. Soltis currently serves as the Deputy Chief Consultant in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Outcomes Military Exposures (HOME) program office. She retired from the United States Army in September 2024 following 22 years of service. As an Army preventive medicine physician, she had the privilege to serve as the Chief Consultant to The Army Surgeon General and Director of the Public Health Directorate in the Office of The Army Surgeon General in Falls Church, Virginia, as the Director of the Public Health/General Preventive Medicine Residency Program at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington, and as a Preventive Medicine Officer with the 10th Mountain Division in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Soltis earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and her Master of Public Health degree from the University of Washington School of Public Health.

Lisa Waddell, MD, MPH, FACPM

Dr. Lisa Waddell, MD, MPH, is the former chief medical officer (CMO) for the CDC Foundation. She is a board-certified preventive medicine and public health physician with 30 years of local, state and national public health leadership experience. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic response, in her former role as CMO, Dr. Waddell provided leadership for the development of the COVID-19 Corps Nationwide Surge Staffing initiative and the Foundation’s overall COVID-19 response efforts including the development of capacity building initiative to support Community Based Organizations. She serves as the science advisor to the foundation and as a spokesperson for initiatives such as the Million Hearts/”Live to the Beat” campaign.

Prior to the CDC Foundation, she served as the Deputy Commissioner for Health Services in SC, the Chief Program Officer for Community Health at ASTHO, the Senior VP for Maternal and Child Health/Deputy Health Officer for March of Dimes, a district public health director in SC and deputy public health director in Richmond, VA.

Dr. Waddell is an active, long-standing member of ACPM. She has served on the ACPM Finance Committee since 2020 and is currently the Vice Chair. She has supported the College via conference presentations and providing career-related webinar sessions.

Dr. Waddell has a passion for public health and is committed to promoting and protecting the health of populations. She has a special interest in addressing the needs of vulnerable populations, the needs of moms and babies, and those with disparate health outcomes.
